Llandudno Centre fully re-opening

Published on 2 Sept 2024

We are thrilled to be fully re-opening the Llandudno Centre of Wellbeing from Sunday 1st September.

All of the fire safety and compliance updates have now been completed throughout the building and whilst repairs to our floors were underway, we were delighted to uncover a near perfect parquet floor in the grade II listed Hogwarts Dining Room. The renovation of the parquet will be completed in the first two weeks of September. While this work is ongoing, all meals will be served in the Falklands Room.

The closure provided an opportunity for us to complete ‘The Hub’. This addition to the lounge provides a single point of contact for support while at the Centre. With representatives from all teams on hand, blind veterans will be able to seek assistance with VI equipment and support services, book on to activities and trips and arrange their next stay.

We can’t wait to have a ‘full house’ once again and with occupancy rates at their highest, it’s clear that our blind veterans are excited to come back to North Wales too.

Whether it’s for a tailored rehabilitation stay, activity week or wellbeing break, the team at Llandudno have designed weekly programmes with something to meet everyone’s needs.

Thank you to everyone for your patience during the closure. We look forward to welcoming you back.
